I, too, am cautiously optimistic. Because of their investment in the franchise and the high expectations Bond fans have for what comes next, they should be feeling pressure to not screw it up. 🤞
Hi Alan, and thanks for your piece on Amazon, which I enjoyed. We can only hope the franchise will deliver. For my part, I've been researching the factual origins of James Bond for a number of years, including where 007 originated from - Fleming was deeply involved, along with his boss, Adm Godfrey. As for 'Bond', I've come across an agent who has same physical description Fleming used in Casino Royale. More interestingly, Fleming 'employed', this agent, and he wasn't British. As a consequence of the research, I've sent a synopsis and pitch to Amazon's creative division. The chance of them being interested are minimal, but hopefully Amazon will at least view the pitch and reply... even if it's a no thanks!
